Health For Life

Fast The Night Before
Your health screening appointment is normally scheduled in the morning. Please fast from 10pm the night before. You may drink some plain water in the morning of your appointment. Light refreshments will be served after the necessary tests are done.
Things To Bring
NRIC / Passport / Employment pass / Work permit and your past medical reports (up to 3 years ago), existing medications, vitamin supplements and spectacles (if any). Please also wear loose clothings, with button front tops.
Urine Analysis
For females, this should be done about 3 days after the last day of your menstruation.
Stool Collection

Please avoid red meats and iron supplements 3 days before your appointment. You may collect your stools one day before or on the morning of your appointment. Please collect about 2 teaspoonfuls of stool sample and place in a small, clean plastic container.

Tonometry
Contact lens wearers need to remove their contact lens to allow us to carry out the test. We suggest that spectacles be worn on the day of your appointment.
Pap Smear
This should be done about 1 week after the last day of your menstruation.
Mammogram
Do not apply perfume, deodorant, talcum powder or body lotion before your mammogram. Bring along previous mammogram films (if any). Arrange for your mammogram about 1 week after your last day of menstruation for best mammogram results. Unless there are specific risk factors, mammogram is NOT recommended if you are below 40 years old. If you are breast feeding, you should ideally stop for about six months before doing a mammogram.
Health Screening In Pregnancy
Screening X-Ray investigations and mammograms will not be done for pregnant women.
